Conveyor Considerations

8 Weeks Until MODEX 2018

During MODEX 2018 in Atlanta, April 9 – 12, there are many conveyor manufacturers exhibiting. Many have been exhibiting at ProMat and MODEX for years and have few innovations to announce this year.

Cutting Edge Solutions

Alfacon Solutions’ products are just that: solutions. These innovative, cutting-edge solutions drive optimal performance and efficiency, reduced waste (lean manufacturing), and ensure less downtime and maximized production output.

Conveyors Improve the Process

Precision solutions with low profile designs allow for product transfers without losing orientation, spacing, or location. Faster performance while maintaining accuracy is a bottom-line impact.

Using the right technology for the application is guided by the expertise and engineers to increase uptime, with a smaller footprint improving space maximization.

In-Plant Consultation

An in-plant consultation provides a thorough evaluation of the current system and assesses how to improve operations. During the site visit all necessary information is collected to perform a comprehensive evaluation, including product specifications, environmental conditions, and installation site constraints and building data.

Knowledgeable and experienced sales engineers assess the current and future state using VSM (value stream mapping) principles. The outcome will include possible solutions to improve performance and productivity.

Real Integration

During MODEX it is important to ensure conveyor firms have vast experience and knowledge regarding the integration of manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution systems. Ensuring system designs are properly installed is addressed by offering complete mechanical installation services. Whether a single piece of equipment or a fully automated manufacturing system, the installation of all equipment is tested and running as planned is “real integration.”

It is important for production to function without a hitch during the transition between systems. Performing installation tasks as efficiently as possible minimizes down time, saving time and money.

Alfacon Solutions’ installations are supervised by a professional project manager coordinating installation teams to ensure completion within agreed timeframes and budgets.

Alfacon Solutions (https://alfaconsolutions.com) will be exhibiting at MODEX 2018 April 9-12, 2018 in Atlanta, GA at booth #B637 and presenting an educational seminar called Adaptive Conveying on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 12:00 PM – 12:45 PM in Theater I. The presentation will provide attendees an overview of a configurable conveying solution and how to integrate conveying solutions into automated vehicles.
